Topic: Data Cleaner Open File Issue

Topic by infinitemission 2009-11-26 18:20	Data Cleaner Open File Issue I loaded an excel file into a file folder but when I OPEN FILE in Data Cleaner I cannot see the excel spreadsheet to do the analysis. I know the excel spreadsheet is in the folder but for some reason Data Cleaner cannot see it.Can anyone help me here? Thanks, Elaine
Reply by kasper 2009-11-26 22:31	Are you sure that the excel file is an .xls? DataCleaner cannot read the new xlsx Excel 2008 (or whatever, I cannot remember) format.
Reply by infinitemission 2009-11-27 02:50	Kasper- that then is the issue. I utilize Microsoft Excel 2007 but the format is in an xlsx format. Hopefully this is the issue. Thanks for the update. Very much appreciated.
Reply by asbjorn 2009-11-27 09:16	I read that microsoft had made a contribution to the Apache POI project making ooxml formats available. I will try to look into if this can be fixed just by updating the jar file
