Compare on multiple fields

Hi all,
I need to compare two files, for which the unique identifier for each record is on two fields. Is this possible without having to preprocess the source file ?
Thanks Cal

Hi Cal,

Yes you simply just add both fields to the comparison column.

Sorrym but when I add fields, I get multiple single field comparision instead of a single multiple field compairision.
For example, if I have eyes colour and age in both files, when I add "eyes colour" and "age" fields, I get:
compare: "eyes colour" to what: "eyes colour" and "age" to "age"
Whereas I am trying to get:
compare: "eyes colour, age" to what: "eyes colour, age"
Thanks,
Callix

Ah OK, I see your point. Then I'm affraid the answer is no, it's not possible. I'll be the first to admit that the comparison feature in DataCleaner is not that advanced.

Thanks for your quick answer. For now, I will preprocess the files in order to concatenate the key fields.
