[SOLVED] Profiler improvements

I came across these two almost right away when started using profiler and I'm sure they would add alot of value to the software:

- Preview: if table contains lots of columns then preview window (in both tree and data selection) becomes very wide with no scrollers and is impossible to navigate through. Also the number of records for preview in data selection doesn't do anything as it always shows 20 (may be becase vertical scroller is missing as well).
- Profiler result window: again for tables with large number of columns (heh all my tables are very wide) it becomes not that convenient to navigate through results. Although scrollers are there - it would be much better to swap columns with rows in it: rows become column names and columns become actual measures. In my opinion it becomes much more clearer that way.

Thanks for the notice.
  • The scrollers have actually already been fixed, so look for it in version 1.3.
  • This really depends on the input, but the idea is good I think. For some tables it would be better to swap columns with rows, for other tables not. I have created ticket #172 to enable swapping/"dicing" of the tables.

Thanks. The reason behind having measures as columns is mainly for being able to sort on that (first and the most important question usually is which columns are the most empty ones and having 50 columns is not that easy to do that).

Hi ItOnlyRains,

For your interest we've just released 1.3 of DataCleaner and it contains the features that you speak of :)
