Confirmed working environments

Hi everybody

We need to have a "positive list" of working environments for DataCleaner (see ticket #93). I personally have tested it with the following configurations:
  • Databases:
    • MySQL database
    • Derby embedded database
    • Derby client-server database
  • Operating systems:
    • MS Windows XP
    • MS Windows Vista
    • Ubuntu Linux (GNOME)
    • OpenSUSE Linux (KDE)

I think the most crucial item here is to get tests of more databases. Everybody please tell us their experiences.

Just tried postgresql out and these are my conclusions:
  • Connectivity works fine.
  • A lot of "tables" are added to the Schema which are not real tables, for example constraints, attibutes etc. This seems like postgresql metadata which we would want to filter out.
  • Reading "real" tables works perfectly.

Added this ticket for the issue: #95

Added this wiki page for info on database compliancy:
http://www.eobjects.dk/trac/wiki/DataCleanerFeatures

Please, if you test a database you're very welcome to add the corresponding info on that page!
